The Lame Myth
February 14, 2021
2/14/21 Sunday Service
Title: Encounters: The Lame Myth
Text: John 5:1-18
In our sermon today, we will look at Jesus’ encounter with the lame man. We will see that Jesus goes to Jerusalem and goes to this man specifically. He is not only lame physically but has some lame beliefs. He, like many of the others that were around this pool, believed the myth that when then pool stirred and they got in, that they would be healed. Once healed, the man faced criticism from the religious leaders because he picked up his bed on the Sabbath. He placed blame on Jesus. God still works 1 on 1 in our lives today. Are you adding rules to the gospel and judging people for them?
