1/10/21 Sunday Service
Title: Encounters: An Uncertain Legacy
Text: Matthew 3:1-12 & John 1:29-34
In our sermon today, we will look at Jesus’ encounter with John the Baptist. We will see that John the Baptist was a preacher and his ministry was growing. Many people came to hear him even though he was not what people would think of as traditional preacher. He lived in the wilderness and lived off the land. He was preaching that he was preparing the way for one who he was not worthy to touch his sandals strap. John’s encounter with Jesus changed not only John’s ministry, but also that of Jesus as this was the beginning of Jesus’ ministry. John gave up his fame and popularity when Jesus’ ministry began. How has your life been changed by your encounter with Christ?
