I have been working with the youth and children at Mt. Olive since January of 2019. I was ordained as a minister in April of 2019. While this is my first vocational position, I have been working within the church most of my life. I started working with young people in the AWANA program when I was in 2001. I have taught small groups for children as young as 5 all the way up to senior adults.
I graduated with a B.A. in Christian Missions from Bob Jones University in 2006 and a M.A. in Religion from Liberty University in 2018. I love working with the youth and have a passion for seeing them learn about the Bible. I understand the importance of preparing the youth and children to go out into the world and be disciple makers. Teaching the youth and children biblical principles is of the utmost importance to me so that as they grow up into adults with strong faith. Building relationships with the children is important to me so that they are comfortable coming to me when they need advice.
As a youth group, we plan several fun activities. It is important that we not only do fun activities, but that we do activities that have a mission’s focus. We either go to ca2mp or a mission trip every year. I manage the YouTube channel for the church as well as the channel for the Youth Group. If you would like to see the past videos that we have uploaded, feel free to check out our youth YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdEw37QJBA99JB8KT6T3m2w
My wife Holly and I have two children, Titus and HannahJoy. In my little free time, I love to spend time with my family, playing video games, and playing around with new technological gadgets that I get. We would love the opportunity to get to know you. God bless you and feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
